Afghanistan scheduled to tour India in March to play three ODIs

According to the team’s future tour program scheduled for the next two years, Afghanistan will play a three-match ODI series against India away from homeland in March 2022.

The national squad will play 11 ODI, 4 T20I, and 2 Test series, respectively – within the county and away during the two years. As a result, the Afghanistan team is booked to play 52 international matches i.e., 37 ODIs, 12 T20Is, and three Test matches in the year 2022 and 2023.

In the upcoming two years, the national team will play in the T20 WC and the Asia Cup in 2022 within the same year, proceeding to the Asia Cup, the ICC 50-over World Cup in 2023. Afghanistan men’s national cricket will begin the following year with an one-day series against the Netherlands and would be ending the year with a three-format series versus Zimbabwe.

Afghanistan Cricket Broad stated that focuse is solely on white-ball cricket and the side is expected to play more ODI and T20I matches in comparison to Tests. Considering that Afghanistan is scheduled to play seven one-day series that will be included in the ICC World Cup Super League. Afghanistan’s men national cricket team will also participate in four ICC Tournaments that includes 2022 Asia Cup, 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, 2023 Asia Cup and 2023 ICC Men’s 50-over Cricket World Cup.
