South Africa has suffered a major setback ahead of the opening test against England to be played at Lords as Test Captain Faf du Plessis is ruled out of the game as he still in South Africa with his wife who gave birth to their first child.
Due to various complications regarding his child, du Plessis won’t make it for the first test as Dean Elgar is all set to become stand-in captain for the side for game at Lords that starts from Thursday on 6th July.South Africa has enjoyed tremendous results under the leadership of Faf du Plessis who led them to series win in New Zealand and Australia. The 32-year old has been mainstay in the batting lineup for South Africa in Test cricket.
South Africa has endured a tough period on the tour to England after suffering defeats in limited overs and T20 format.
