India’s Jaspreet Bumrah ruled out of the one-day series against England

India’s premier bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has been out of the upcoming one-day series against England due to a finger injury. Bumrah suffered from finger injury during the first T20 game played against Ireland at Malahide, Dublin on 27th June.

Bumrah sustained the injury while trying to take a catch off his own bowling against Ireland. He will surely miss the T20 series against England that begins from 3rd July. He did not play the second T20 game against Ireland.

Jaspreet Bumrah has been India’s premier bowler in the T20 format. He has established India’s go-to man at the end of the innings since making his debut. The right arm quick had a good time in England in ICC Champions Trophy played last year. India definitely has plenty of options in the pace department such as Umesh Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Siddharth Kaul and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

It is definitely going to be a huge setback for India ahead of the T20 series against England. Bumrah has formed a great new-ball partnership with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bumrah’s injury will definitely give others to showcase their ability and make an impression against a strong side like England.

Deepak Chahar has been named as a probable replacement for injured Bumrah in the T20 Squad for England series. He is currently playing for India A side at the moment. Chahar has done exceedingly well for India A in a tri-series featuring West Indies A and England Lions. He picked up 7 wickets at an economy rate of 4.04. Chahar has done a splendid job for Chennai Super Kings with the new-ball and had a good tournament for the side in the Indian Premier League 2018.

Off-spinner Washington Sundar has been sidelined of the upcoming limited-overs series against England due to ankle injury. Krunal Pandya has been called up to replace Washington Sundar in the upcoming three-match T20 series. Akshar Patel has been included in India’s limited-overs series against England.
