India’s Ravendra Jadeja has climbed to the top of ICC Test ranking for all-rounders. He replaced Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan to clinch no.1 position. ICC issued latest rankings after the conclusion of India’s second test against Sri Lanka at Colombo.
Ravendra Jadeja batted well for India in the game to score 70 runs with the bat and then contributed handsomely with seven wickets to see the visitors defeat Sri Lanka by an innings and 53 runs. Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara also have climbed up places after scoring centuries in the second game at Colombo. Pujara is now at no.3 position while Rahane is now at 6th place in ICC Test ranking for Batsmen.
Moeen Ali’s stupendous performance in the series against South Africa has helped him climb up to 21st place in the ICC rankings. James Anderson also enjoyed a good run against South Africa to move to 2nd place in the bowler’s rankings. Hashim Amla endured a lean run in England as he is currently at no.9 in rankings for Test batsmen. While South Africa’s fast bowler Duanne Olivier, who did well in the fourth and final Test at Manchester is at no.51 after taking five wickets in the game
