Pakistan premier pace bowler Mohammad Amir is all set to make debut for county side Essex for NatWest T20 Blast after producing a tremendous performance for his national side in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 finals against arch-rivals India. The left-arm quick received his NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Pakistan Cricket Board to play the county cricket for Essex this summer. Amir new ball partner Junaid Khan also has been given NOC by the Cricket Board to play for county side Leicestershire this summer.
Amir will be keen to continue his good form for Essex after being the part of Pakistan side that lifted ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title by defeating India by 180 runs in finals played at The Oval. He was chief architect for Pakistan’s dominant display in the finals as he dismissed Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan in his opening spell to see his side clinch their maiden ICC Champions Trophy title.
