Pakistan selection committee announced 15-member squad for upcoming ICC Champions Trophy to be played in England in June. Sarfaraz Khan will lead the side for the event while Azhar Ali makes his return to the side. Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are also there in the squad as experienced all-rounders that will provide utility with bat and ball. Fahim Ashraf and Shadab Khan are two promising youngster selected for the big event.
Pakistan will play two practice games against Australia and Bangladesh before going head to head with old enemy India on 4th June. They will be playing against Sri Lanka and South Africa that make up Group B of the competition. Kamran Akmal failed to impress in the Caribbean after his comeback into the side in the one day format. Umar Akmal has taken his place in the squad.
