Sri Lanka’s Angelo Matthews ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Pakistan in UAE

Former Sri Lankan captain Angelo Matthews has been ruled out of the forthcoming series against Pakistan in UAE. The all-rounder has been plagued with injuries since the last one year and has missed a lot of cricket during this time. He has sustained a tear in calf which means he will miss the whole series against Pakistan.

Angelo Matthews is focused to gain full fitness and wants to get rid of such injuries that have kept him out of the game for the last one year. Sri Lankan management has opted to take precautionary step to leave Matthews out of the side due to upcoming cricket calendar that will the Islanders will a lot of cricket in the next few months.

The first game of the series against Pakistan will begin from 28th September at Sheikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The five match one-day series and three T20s will be played once the two-test series is concluded.
