Yuvraj Singh signed by Toronto Nationals for the upcoming Global T20 Canada

Former Indian player Yuvraj Singh has written to the BCCI for asking their permission for playing in various T20 Leagues around the world. Left-hander signed for Toronto Nationals and will play in the Global T20 Canada. Former Indian pace bowler Manpreet Gony was also signed by Nationals for the upcoming T20 competition.

It seems that BCCI have relaxed their stance on Indian players participating in various T20 Leagues around the world. Yuvraj Singh had announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Singh’s name has been linked to Euro T20 Slam hosted jointly by Netherlands, Ireland and Scotland; it would mean that he would have a grueling cricket schedule this year.

Global T20 Canada is all set to begin from 25th July in Brampton near Toronto. The six teams will participate in this year’s competition. Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Fawad Ahmed, Sunil Narine, Chris Lynn, Dwayne Bravo, Kane Williamson, Faf du Plessis, Darren Sammy, Shahid Afridi, Shakib Al Hasan and Darren Sammy are notable names that have signed for the second edition of the competition.

The Global T20 Canada will be played at Brampton, Ontario from 25 July to 11 August. The six teams will play round-robin formats followed by the playoffs.
